My signature (almost) everyday look is a winged eyeliner, but strangely enough I have never ever used a gel liner. I have stuck to my black shadow or felt tip liners. I had read some good things about the Catrice Gel Eye Liner Waterproof and I was curious to see if a gel liner could make my winged liner look and apply better.
The Gel Eye Liner comes in a sophisticated, small pot.
I could not help but crack a smile when I saw what it was called. Black Jack With Jack Back. ha!
The color is a nice and intense black and being untouched, the products looks like it would be very hard but it is actually nice and creamy.
Using an angled brush I swatched some on my hand (LEFT). It is easy so work with because of the creaminess and I like how intense black the color is. This is marketed as a waterproof product, so I decided to put it up to a test. I washed my hands with water and soap and the result is the next photo (RIGHT). There is a light smudge, but other than that it looks close to perfect. I was very amazed seeing that I washed my hands very well and did use soap. Impressive Jack Black.. very impressive..
Here I applied the liner using an angled brush. It applied very easily, very creamy and even in color. There were no streaks or patches of darker or lighter black. It stayed put all day and the intensity of the dark black did not fade. Good job liner, this is what I needed you to do.
I can conclude that I enjoy these gel type liners very much and as of lately this is what I have been using on a daily basis to create my cat eye. I simply find that it lasts on the eye much longer and the intensity of the color does not fade at all.
